Hibernian forward Abdessalam Benjelloun has revealed he is happy to stay at Easter Road but he has yet to be offered a new deal.

The Moroccan is out of contract in the summer and is hoping to a new deal will be on the table soon.

The 25-year-old insists he sees his future in Edinburgh but hinted at a growing frustration at his future being up in the air.

"I don't know what is happening regarding my contract," Benjelloun told the Daily Record.

"If Hibs want me to stay, will I be happy to stay? Yes. I've never wanted to leave Hibs. I am very happy at the club. "

Hibs are in my heart for life.

I have never played for a team before and become a fan of that team, apart from now at Hibs.

Even if I leave this club I will come back and support the team."

He added: "I have had a great four years here and was part of the CIS Cup win in 2007.

I have played under four managers and have had a great relationship with the players and everyone from the chairman to the last man.

"I hope we can do something between now and the end of the season but you can't get everything you want in life."
