Giants to battle for Germany ace

by Admin , 08 July 2010

Manchester United and Chelsea are set to do battle for Mesut Ozil now that Germany are out of the World Cup.

Germany failed to make it to the final after losing 1-0 to Spain on Wednesday night and the scramble will now start for Ozil who has been one of the stars of the tournament.

The 21-year-old ran the show as Germany hammered both England and Argentina on their way to the semi-finals and both United and the Blues are being strongly linked.

Speaking before Germany's exit Ozil spoke of his admiration of both clubs and the Werder Bremen ace admits he would be keen on a move to the Premier League.

"The Premier League is a great league and teams like Chelsea and Manchester United are very strong," he revealed.

"While the World Cup is on, I won't think about my future ? but La Liga and the Premier League have teams where you can win the best trophies.

"I just need time to think.

"This is about the next three or four years, my future."
