Norwegian side Aalesund have revealed that Manchester United are lining up a move for goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard.
The 26-year-old shot stopper is regarded as one of best young goalkeepers currently available and is being tipped to be as good as fellow Denmark and United legend Peter Schmeichel.
While Lindegaard was unable to force his way into the Denmark squad for the World Cup United are thought to have been impressed by his performances since he joined Aalesund.
Aalesund director Henrik Hoff has now revealed United have expressed an interest in the shot stopper, but has warned them he won't come cheap.
"Manchester United have not been in contact with us directly, but I can confirm that there is an interest," said Hoff. "There is no smoke without fire.
"In case a big club like Manchester United show interest in our players, we are ready to negotiate.
"But Anders Lindegaard is in my eyes the best keeper in the Tippeliga and if he should be sold, a big sum will be required."
