Portsmouth's John Utaka is happy to move to Rangers after being linked with various sides in England.
The 28-year-old has recently expressed a desire to stay in the English Premier League, after being linked with Bolton, Sunderland, Fulham and two Bundesliga outfits.
However, the Nigeria international has taken a U-turn and has welcomed a move to the SPL champions from Fratton Park.
The striker has claimed he has received a "couple of offers now", but would not say from which clubs but did express a desire to move to Walter Smith's side, so he can play in Europe.
"I would love to play for Rangers in the Scottish League because it will give me the opportunity to showcase my talent in the Champions League," he told the Nigerian Tribune.
"It will give me the opportunity to show my detractors that I am not finished yet. Rangers is a good team that has won the title for the third time now and I would love to associate myself with them."
Rangers may be in the market for a new striker after Kenny Miller came off against Sydney with a recurring problem of shin splints although Smith played down the severity of the problem.
"Kenny came off with the same problem that has been bothering him and we just have to watch it doesn't become a chronic one," said Smith.
"It's one of those things which is OK during the game but as soon as he stops it causes him a bit of pain. Hopefully we can get over the weekend's game because when we travel back he will then have a few days' recovery and he won't have to play against Clyde next midweek."
Smith also dismissed the injuries suffered by Lee McCulloch and Kyle Lafferty as just a "kick" and "a little bit of cramp" respectively.
