Preview: Southampton v Bolton

Bolton Wanderers are set to hand a debut to young goalkeeper Adam Bogdan in Tuesday's Carling Cup clash against Southampton.

Manager Owen Coyle is poised to make a number of changes following Saturday's win at West Ham, and one of the players set to be rested is regular number one Jussi Jaaskelainen as the Hungary-born stopper gets his chance.

Coyle may also leave out veteran striker Kevin Davies, but a recall is on the cards for Matty Taylor, who has failed to start the Trotters' opening two games in the Premier League.

Southampton's new Brazilian signing Guilherme do Prado Guly will play if international clearance is completed in time.

The 28-year-old signed a five-month loan deal on Monday from Italian club Cesena.

The Scot has also been quick to play down reports suggesting Taylor is heading for the exit door at the Reebok Stadium.

He said: "Matty Taylor is a fantastic player who has had an unbelievable Premier League career.

"He is frustrated at the moment because he has been on the bench and Martin Petrov is in possession of that wide-left berth. I can understand that but he has a huge role to play at the club."

Coyle has revealed teenage striker Danny Ward is set for a move away from the club on loan this week.

Coyle says the 18-year-old won't be involved in Tuesday's Carling Cup tie against Southampton as he expects a deal to go through in the next few days which would see him joining a Championship side to gain extra experience.

The Trotters chief said: "The likelihood is we will be letting Danny Ward go out on loan later this week so I wouldn't want to cup-tie him."

Coyle is also expected to let Joey O'Brien go out on loan.
