Preview: Birmingham v Coventry (Sat, 15:00)

by Michelle Fortune , 28 January 2011

Birmingham will be looking to build on the Carling Cup semi-final success when they welcome Coventry to St Andrews in the FA Cup.

The Blues booked their place at Wembley with an extra-time win over West Ham and the tough match is likely to result in a number of changes for Saturday's tie.

Craig Gardner is a doubt because of an ankle injury, while Roger Johnson and Cameron Jerome are unlikely to play due to calf and hamstring issues.

On-loan winger David Bentley is available again after being cup-tied on Wednesday, but Stephen Carr and Barry Ferguson could be rested.

Alex McLeish is considering calling up Stuart Parnaby, David Murphy, Jordon Mutch, Jean Beausejour, Kevin Phillips and Keith Fahey.

Coventry are without former Birmingham skipper Lee Carsley following Achilles and hernia surgery.

There is good news with Ben Turner fit to return after spending almost three months in the sidelines with a knee problem.
