Preview: Celtic v Hibernian (Weds)

by JP Lonergan , 05 April 2011

Celtic defender Daniel Majstorovic will miss Wednesday’s Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with Hibernian at Celtic Park.

The giant Swede recently fractured his toe and is still two or three weeks away from a comeback, so will not be in the Bhoys’ defence for the visit of Colin Calderwood’s men.

Attacking midfielder Shaun Maloney is not expected to be ready to start, despite getting the better of his ankle injury, but Freddie Ljungberg is available.

On-loan Celtic defender Richie Towell is ineligible to play for the visitors under the terms of his loan agreement, while an unnamed player is said to be causing the Edinburgh side’s boss Calderwood to sweat with a fitness issue.

Graham Stack (shoulder), Danny Galbraith (ankle) and Kevin McCann (knee) and are definitely absentees for Hibs.
