France international Djibril Cisse could be joining Serie A club Lazio, if they are willing to offload one of their current strikers.
The former Liverpool forward is currently at Greek side Panathinaikos, but would be willing to make the switch to the Rome-based club if the Italian outfit were to release one of their forwards.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito told Corriere dello Sport:
"He will only arrive if one of our strikers leaves.
"We have seven strikers in our team so he would be a replacement if one of them leaves."
The 29-year-old Cisse is one of the highest earners at Panathinaikos and is contracted to the club till June 2013, but is willing to make an early exit if room is made to accommodate him.
The former Auxerre and Marseille man has never played in Italy so may be keen to join a side that finished fifth in Serie A last season.
