Crystal Palace have signed Norway international Jonathan Parr for an undisclosed fee from Aalesund.

The versatile 22-year-old, who can play at full-back or in midfield, has agreed a three-year deal at Selhurst Park to become manager Dougie Freedman's fourth signing of the summer.

Parr, who has two caps for Norway, said: "I know it's a tough league, a physical league and I know it was a tough season last year for the club.

“But I hope it will be a better season this year and I'm really looking forward to coming here."

Freedman has already brought in Glenn Murray, Kagisho Dikgacoi and Mile Jedinak since the end of last term.

He said: "I'm delighted to add another player of international calibre to the club.

“Jonathan is a quality left-sided player with huge potential and an exciting addition to our squad."

26-year-old Australian international Mile Jedinak is also looking forward to the new campain at Selhurst Park.

He said: "I'm impressed by Dougie and what he wants to achieve."

He continued: "I cannot wait to get started. Crystal Palace has a fantastic heritage and I am looking forward to playing in front of them at Selhurst Park.

"Playing in the UK has always been an ambition of mine and I am totally determined to make my time here an absolute success."
