Argentina will be buoyed by the news Felipe Contepomi will return to action for the crucial World Cup clash against Scotland on Sunday.
The veteran fly-half suffered bruised ribs during the opening game of the World Cup against England and was forced to watch as his side romped to a convincing win against Romania.
This upcoming game is a must-win match for the Pumas if they want to reach the knockout stages of the competition in New Zealand and will need to get one over on the Scots, who they have lost to in three of their last four meetings.
Argentina will be a different prospect with Contempomi in the line-up and the utility back is glad to have recovered from the injury.
He said: "I'm still in a bit of pain, I'm not pain free but it worked well, and hopefully I'll be playing if nothing happens in the next 48 hours.
"I knew it was going to be very tight and I'm lucky it healed quickly."
