Preview: Tottenham v Rubin Kazan

by Tony Cuddihy , 19 October 2011

Sebastian Bassong and Younes Kaboul are the only fit centre-halves at Harry Redknapp's disposal as Tottenham face Rubin Kazan at White Hart Lane.

Ledley King joined Michael Dawson (Achilles), Vedran Corluka (foot) and William Gallas (calf) in the Spurs treatment room when he limped off against Newcastle, though the skipper's injury is not serious.

Redknapp is likely to play a second string XI and protect his first choice players for Sunday's game at Blackburn.

Danny Rose, Andros Townsend and Tom Carroll are all expected to start.

Tottenham (from): Gomes, Cudicini, Bassong, Corluka, Walker, Assou-Ekotto, Waller-Lassen, Kaboul, Livermore, Sandro, Lennon, Townsend, Fredericks, Carroll, Nicholson, Parrett, Pavlyuchenko, Dos Santos, Falque, Kane, Lancaster, Pritchard.
