Preview: QPR v Chelsea

by Kieran O'Daly , 27 January 2012

John Terry will come face to face with QPR defender Anton Ferdinand for the first time since October's controversial Barclays Premier League game as he is set to be named in Chelsea's starting line-up for the FA Cup fourth-round tie at Loftus Road on Saturday.

However, Blues midfielder Frank Lampard will miss the London derby as he recovers from the calf tear he suffered at Norwich last Saturday. A hamstring problem means that John Obi Mikel also misses out.

QPR are missing a number of first-team players as Mark Hughes looks to build on the positive start to his tenure at the west London club. Akos Buzsaky is struggling with an Achilles injury, while Danny Gabbidon, Matthew Connolly and Heidar Helguson are all doubtful for the clash.

Hughes will also have to cope without the services of strikers Jay Bothroyd and DJ Campbell, who remain out with groin and hamstring injuries respectively, while Armand Traore and Adel Taarabt are on international duty at the African Cup of Nations. New signing Nedum Onuoha is in line to make his debut, but fellow recruit Taye Taiwo is unavailable as he waits for his work permit to be rubber-stamped.

Teams:

QPR (from): Kenny, Cerny, Murphy, Gabbidon, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Connolly, Hall, Hill, Orr, Young, Derry, Barton, Buzsaky, Smith, Mackie, Helguson, Wright-Phillips, Hulse, Macheda.

Chelsea (from): Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Luiz, Cahill, Hutchinson, Cole, Romeu, Ramires, Essien, Mata, Malouda, Meireles, Torres, Sturridge, Lukaku, Turnbull.
