The next 48 hours will prove critical in Wales' bid to get Rhys Priestland, Dan Lydiate and Jamie Roberts fit for Sunday's RBS Six Nations clash against Ireland.
Wales have been hit by a string of injuries in the build-up to this year's championship and have opted to delay naming their team to face Ireland until Friday in the hope of having the trio available for selection.
Fly-half Priestland and centre Roberts are struggling with knee injuries, while Lydiate could be sidelined with an ankle problem, but assistant coach Rob Howley is optimistic that they will be ready in time to make the trip to Dublin.
"In terms of their participation, it was very limited last week. Dan and Rhys probably did about two or three sessions but they were just limited to skills, the next 48 hours is pretty critical and we are waiting to see how they are. They have come in this morning and they are a little bit sore after the weekend's endeavours but we are obviously hopeful," Howley said.
"Jamie participated a little bit more than Dan and Rhys but we are still uncertain. Jamie has not played for a long time, I think it's around five or six weeks, so we are, once again, waiting to see how the next 48 hours goes."
