Monaghan have been boosted by the return of Tommy Freeman to the senior football panel for 2012.
Freeman turned his back on the Monaghan footballers last year as he headed to New York in search of regular work.
After spending three months in the United States, the Moageracloone clubman returned home and wasted no time in lining out for his club in the SFC semi-final defeat to Scotstown in September.
He had planned to travel to Australia before heading to New York and there were fears that he would decide to try his hand Down Under following his return home.
However, he trained under Eamonn McEneaney for the first time on Sunday and will now be available for the remainder of the Allianz Football League.
