The 2008-2009 EPL Awards  are broadcasting awards given by the EPL Talk, one of the leading Premier League blogs in the world with daily news and analysis of the world's most popular sports league. The awards are given on the basis of a popular vote.

Setanta Sports won 2008-2009 EPL Awards in the following categories:

  • Best EPL Feature TV Show (Special1 TV)
  • Best EPL TV Presenter: Editor's Choice (James Richardson)
  • Best EPL TV Pundit (Pat Dolan)

The complete list of winners of the 2008-2009 EPL Awards are available at http://www.epltalk.com/epl-awards-2008-2009-winners/

The inaugural EPL Awards honor the very best of the 2008/2009 Premier League season -- everything from the players, managers and teams to the podcasts, blogs, commentators and TV shows that matter. The shortlist of the nominees in the 41 different categories were chosen by the editor and writers of EPL Talk. The winners were then chosen by the readers of EPL Talk, who cast more than 60,000 votes (one vote per person per category) between May 10-31, 2009. In addition to the people's choice winners, an editor's choice winner was selected in each category by EPL Talk.

The EPL Awards were created as a true reflection of the entire Premier League season instead of other award competitions where votes are cast at the end of the year or mid-season. The awards are a 360 degrees view of how supporters experience every facet of the Premier League, from the best footballers and managers to the best blogs, podcasts, journalists, books, TV shows and more.

Founded in 2005, EPL Talk is one of the leading Premier League blogs in the world with daily news and analysis of the world's most popular sports league.
