Live GAA on PPV

Technical Help

G25 Digital and C-band

The G25 Digital Ku System enables bars and clubs to receive English Internationals, most commercial PPV World Cup Qualifiers, the GAA, and Scottish (almost all Celtic and Rangers games, available only to Scottish clubs).

The C-band System enables you to get everything broadcast by Setanta that is not on G25 Digital Ku due to live schedule conflicts.

Setanta Sports C-Band System

Before the installation of the Setanta decoder, postion your satellite receiver on T6/13 or any free-to-air channel on this satellite. Check the signal quality, as when the install is completed successfully, you should have the same feed passing through the decoder.

Follow the wiring diagram below, showing two different methods of output to your TVs:

  1. RF cha 3 or cha 4 to your TVs or
  2. Direct video and audio via a modulator system to TVs.

After the wiring is complete, insert a pen into the Learn function on the remote control. The decoder will now start tuning through the Channels to 59 or 99 then come back and stop on either cha 3 or cha 4. If it stops at cha 3, the switch 3/4 at the rear of the Setanta will require to be reset to cha 3.

Setanta Broadcasts

Setanta Sports uses Satellites G25 @ 97w , Telstar 6 @ 93w and GE 2 @ 85w in C Band.

Always check Odd and Even channels on the Satellite to be used. Check that there is a quality signal. If not, the satellite receiver may need to be adjusted for direction or polarity. If the satellite receiver has a T.I. filter, switch it off.

Check the following feeds to optimize your system before broadcasts:

  1. On G25 Channel 10 is Fox L.A. Color Bars.
  2. On Telstar 6 Channel 5 is Fox News Edge and on Cha 13 are Fox L.A Colour Bars.
  3. On G.E. 2 Channel 4 is Spanish Channel and on Cha 9 you'll find NASA.
