Setanta Cup 2009 at Chelsea Piers – A Huge Success!

On April 11th Setanta Sports held its first annual Setanta Cup tournament at the Chelsea Piers Field house in New York City. The tournament ran from 8:30 AM to 11 PM with youth teams playing in the morning and adults teams playing in the afternoon and evening. The middle of the day featured games by Hollywood United, a California based team of soccer stars and famous actors. Twenty seven adult teams and 10 youth teams entered the tournament. Division winners and youth runner ups received a Setanta Cup trophy. The winners by division were as follows:

All proceeds generated from team registrations, raffles, and merchandise sales went to Hollywood Unites for Haiti, a non-profit organization, and the Chelsea Piers scholarship fund.
